I spent the weekend riding along with these guys.
They tow stuff and impound things on the beach………like this.
and this
There was a grenade found between campers and they helped the Rangers and the bomb squad detonate it. I miss all the fun because it was in the middle of the night and I would rather sleep. Sorry, I know it would have made for a great photo opt, but you know I’m old and need my sleep. Maybe next time.
These are not water vehicles, you should have seen how fast the guy that was with her got off his to help her.
I learned a lot about the way people behave while on vacation. Stay tuned for my rules for vacationing on the beach.

A grenade?!?!? The beach looks like a busy place - thanks for sharing.

Whoa that is one busy beach for sure. There aren't many beaches I've been to where you you can drive your vehicles up close and personal like that...
Where is this???!!! You should have posted your rules for vacationing on the beach for THEM! :)
Wow, that is so different from our beach! I live on the east end of LI, NY and ours are peaceful and quiet..no driving till after 6, with a permit...
A grenade..:(
No driving on our beaches allowed. However my husband was in the towing business for many years and we did go to the ocean to pull out a pickup truck from the sand. He got caught in the sand and the tide came in. Then our truck and another tow truck became stuck. Many hours later after everyone kept trying to get them all out the tide came in again and submerged the trucks. Let's just say that the photos of the helicopter pulling out the trucks made for a really good photo op. Oh and our truck, once it was dried out properly and cleaned of the salt water went on to run perfectly for many years.
Wow, that ain't for sure no quiet beach. But fun, right!?
Wow Denise!
I am amazed that they let people ride all over the beaches. This is different. They did a lot of pulling people out. Do they ever learn? Great post. I think it would have been fun to ride around and see what all goes on in a day at the beach. Country Hugs honey, Sherry
Wow, that is some beach, very busy, but then our beaches are so busy too. People have two yards square for themselves here on a hot day. Not nice to go then.

Oh My Gosh I had forgotten how crowded the beach can get. Our beach here is nothing like that. You forgot to tell me about the grenade!!!
Love,

It looks wonderful!! I love the beach and haven't been in twenty years!
Happy OW!!
WEll, its official-- you just made me die to come see a beach this summer!!
What fun! Everyone is just full tilt-- what a fun post, THANKS!

Thanks Ladies! I’m glad you enjoyed this one. The beach is called Oceano Dunes and you can drive and camp on it all year long. It just looks like this in the summer and on holidays. Sorry Jill! I totally forgot about the grenade until I was writing the post. I completely blew it, by not going out there with them. Because right before they set it off some drunk guy ran through the caution tape on his quad and then ran from the rangers. He got arrested! Tell me that wouldn’t have made for a great post? I miss all the fun! Thank goodness this isn’t our only beach……we do have some where you can just relax, this just isn’t one of them! Denise xoxo
Such excitement! Golly, the beach looks packed. Thank goodness they were able to find and dispose of the grenade.
That is one crazy beach! Do they have traffic police for beaches? LOL!

Hello, Just found your blog. Had a great visit. Looks like you had an exciting ride-a-long. Stop by when you can. Connie
Beaches are great places, but with so much traffic how can it be relaxing? The water looks beautiful, though. Sounds like you had fun, even though you missed the excitement. Hugs, ~cindy s~
