San Simeon California….

Hubby and I drove up the coast to San Simeon one Sunday.San Simeon map   You might have heard of it, because of William Randolph Hearst.  We didn’t go to the Hearst Castle because I really was looking for wildlife to photograph.  William Randolph Hearst use to have the largest private zoo that had exotic wild animals freely roaming over the hillsides.  The dismantling of the zoo began in 1937, but you can still see zebras roaming the grounds of the state park.  That is really what I was after.  I was disappointed, so I thought!  On our way home we stopped to photograph some waves and we were leaving I looked up and had to squint, but there they were.  I really wish I could have gotten closer but this is what we saw.IMG_4498

Hi Denise..my DIL took me there one year for my birthday...we went to tea at the most darling and quaint tea cottage, but I can't remember the name...we had dinner at a wonderful restaurant...can't remember the name of that either, but it was a wonderful experience. The shopping was also so nice...verey quaint stores with one of a kind items. It is a beautiful place to visit...glad you had a good time there.
