French Breakfast Puffs

I made these for Sunday breakfast and they were very yummy!  I got this at Pioneer Woman.  I haven’t picked up her cookbook yet, but if her other recipes are like this one…..it is going to be good!IMG_8531 French Breakfast Puffs

3 cups flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cup sugar

2/3 cup butter

2 eggs

1 cup soymilk

1 ½ cups sugar

3 teaspoons cinnamon

2 sticks butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 12 muffin cups.

Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Set aside.

In a different bowl, cream together sugar and butter, then add eggs and mix. Add flour mixture and milk alternately to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Fill prepared muffin cups 2/3 full.

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until golden.

In a bowl, melt 2 sticks butter.

In a separate bowl combine remaining sugar and cinnamon. Dip baked muffins in butter, coating thoroughly, then coat with cinnamon-sugar mixture.

On a completely different note!  I was hoping you could help us feed homeless children in the Phoenix area?

Jill and I are so blessed we have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season.

Unfortunately, not everyone can say that, with the economy the way it is and people losing their jobs, times are tough and the holidays seem to make it even tougher. Imagine being a child who is homeless and you don’t understand why you don’t have a home, things like the other kids or even enough food when you are hungry.

The Real Gift Foundation raises money for the homeless children in the Phoenix area to make sure that they get a Thanksgiving dinner.

This is The Real Gift Foundation’s 10th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Drive — a project to fund Thanksgiving dinners for homeless families with students in more than 60 Phoenix area schools. Last year TRGF distributed 3500 meals, which fed over 21,000 people.

What TRGF provides are pre-cooked dinners that include an 8-10 pound turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, and more. Through their various partnerships TRGF is able to purchase the dinners for $25 each, which will feed 6 people. These Thanksgiving dinners feed families that would otherwise go without.

Please join us in contributing to this great project either through The Real Gift website, by calling 480.315.0600 or by mailing a check made payable to The Real Gift Foundation and sending it to PO Box 12442, Scottsdale, AZ 85267.

All funds must be raised prior to November 25th and your donations are 100% tax deductible.

Your support and generosity means so much to thousands of people. If you are in a position to help out a homeless child this year for Thanksgiving, I know they would appreciate it!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The PW certainly has some amazingly delicious recipes. This looks wonderful and I like the soy milk too. I am hoping to go to her book signing here in my area in December. I hear some times she brings Marlborough man with her too:)

Denise-Oh-- my--- goodness---! These look almost sinful. These would be great with my breakfast pizza on Christmas morning--almost dessert! I know the food banks in our area are in more need than ever also. There are so many more families that need a helping hand right now. I hope the project is a success!
