Hailee, Carol and I went up to Atascadero to go the Charles Paddock Zoo. It is a very small zoo, but they had some fun animals like the meerkat, tiger and monkeys. We think some of the animals are there because they had been hurt like the vulture. 
The Meerkats were very cute and they were just as curious about us as we were of them. Look at that face!
Most zoo's that I have been to the birds are always in cages, not here they were just out on perches and you could get pictures of them without the bars, except for the owl.

Amazing zoo pictures!! We were supposed to go to the zoo yesterday, but it was literally too busy and so we had to make other plans. So sad! I would have loved to capture some shots like that.

Great shots. Looks like you had a great time at the zoo. As long as the animals are well cared for ... the size of the zoo doesn't matter. Some of my favorite zoos are *small*. Happy critter day!
