Vineyards.....

The Central Coast of California is vineyard country.  We have vineyards every where.  I thought I would just show you a few that we drive by in San Luis Obispo.IMG_8520 simply vintageIMG_8580 copy IMG_8522 copy IMG_8529 copy IMG_8535 copy IMG_8537 copy IMG_8538 copy IMG_8540 copyIMG_8557 seventies IMG_8560 copy IMG_8563 copy IMG_8570 soft fadedIMG_8576 simply vintageIMG_8578 copy IMG_8571 copy

My favorite were the ones that planted yellow roses at the end of all the rows.  I will go back when the grapes are completely grown in so you can see them hanging off the vineyard, until then........

Have a wonderful day!

Gorgeous photos. We don't have many/any vineyards around where I live.

Recently learned that the rose are planted for a purpose (go figure). Roses and grapesvines develop similair diseases and the roses can show the vineyard managers that there is a problem "early in the game". Hope you don't mind me sharing...

Thanks Krisy....I was wondering why they were there. I thought there had to be another reason, other than they were just pretty :-) Denise
