Pizza Sauce......

I need to make a change to my pizza post.  The post is really better for 2 pizza's, if you need to make three good size pizza's change the water to  1 1/2 cups and 4 cups of flour.

I made this tomato sauce last time, which is really good, but after making the next sauce I will only use that tomato sauce for spaghetti sauce or dipping sauce.

We don't usually put any sauce on our pizza, but this sauce was so good, we might start putting it on all the time.

Pizza Sauce

Printer~Friendly

½ onion, finely diced

12 ounces hot water

1~ 6 ounce can tomato paste

1 tablespoon dried basil

1 tablespoon oregano

6 cloves garlic, chopped

4 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoons garlic salt

In a fry pan add a tablespoon of olive oil then sauté onions. When they are done add the hot water to the onions then stir in the tomato paste until mixed in well. Add the basil, oregano and garlic mix well then add olive oil until it is the right consistency and add at least one tablespoon of garlic salt then taste it and if you need more add a little more.

I made pizza last night. I finally mastered a good crust. Now it's time to make sauce too since all that is available here in very salty. Thanks for the idea.
